3 Quick Tips for a Great Year

Statistics confirm that almost 97 percent of New Year's resolutions are never fulfilled. Even so, some 40 to 45 percent do use New Year's Day to make resolutions and set goals.

Here are a few things that will help you to accomplish your goals this year:

1. Hire a Coach or Mentor

The failure rate could be much lower if individuals recognize the value of having a Life Mentor in other words, a coach in your corner. This person has your best interest at heart and will help you to achieve your goals. Depending on the nature of your goals, this person can be a friend or family member if you can't afford a professional.

2. Evaluate your Progress

The only way to track your progress in life is to evaluate yourself. This step requires you to be transparent to yourself. Yes, I know the truth can hurt but the outcome of success, peace, and wealth is far greater.

Evaluate where you are now in life - Have you acheived your goals?

Evaluate your relationships - Do they add value to your life?

Evaluate your attitude - "The man in the mirror"

It will amaze you when you realize where you are now and where you are going in life; the goal only becomes clearer.

3. Surround yourself with the Likeminded People

Having the right types of relationships in your life to enhance and propel you towards a successful, and meaningful future is very important. Every now and then, evaluate those relationships to ensure that they are not toxic. The last thing you need are people who suck you dry physically, emotionally, and spiritually; you may be an asset to them but for you they are a liability.

Everyone in your life serves a purpose in some way or another, you may have one or two close friends that you can depend on and share just about anything with, while others are just an acquaintance; ultimately that purpose should be beneficial to you as you learn and grow together.

Knowing is half the battle; doing is where the rubber meets the road. This is your year - seize it!

Happy New Year!
