Many of the world’s great business leaders tell us that one of the keys to success is being passionate about what you do. In other words, there are no mystifying formulas to achieve success in your life. Neither is your nationality, race, or physical capabilities a determining factor.
We have seen many great men and women who have overcome physical challenges especially when the odds were against them. People such as singer, song writer and multi-instrumentalist Stevie Wonder who earned the status as one of the world’s greatest musicians did so even though he was blind since birth.
Canadian paraplegic athlete, Rick Hansen beat the odds as passion carried him around the world in the Man in Motion World Tour. Due to a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down at age 15, Rick didn’t lose his passion for life. He trained earnestly for years for the world tour which began in Vancouver Canada on March 21, 1985 and he returned on May 22, 1987.
The word passion means to have a strong feeling or emotion. In my opinion, it’s synonymous to the word believe. To believe means to have confidence in; or to make true. One without the other is non effective; the passion fuels your belief.
Rick Hansen believed that he could conquer over 40,000 km, through 34 countries in 4 continents. But it was his passion that fueled his belief in the cause to raise funds for spinal cord injury that kept him going through the rugged terrain and various weather conditions.
What is your passion? Are you experiencing the euphoria in your life?
Without passion you are just existing and not truly living!
